Of Wishing Wells And Fairytales.

I cannot accurately name all the fairytales I've read.
Fairytales with wishing wells, fairy godmothers, and shooting stars.
I've always thought they were impractical and far fetched.
Magic isn't real.
I am a woman of science, I shouldn't believe in it.
But here I am,
Tossing a coin into a fountain at a rowdy mall in Minnesota,
Asking, begging, whoever is listening to bring you back to me.
Because it's been 2 years since cancer took you from me,
And although they say it gets better with time,
I still miss you so very much.
So much so it hurts.
