If I Die Now, God Will Be Angry With Me

go ye into the world… - God

so much of my life has been spent in a bubble

blame the unfairness of this world; it swirls,

yet traps one (watching) amid inescapability

i was birthed here & so i have breathed this air

for two decades & a year in my little corner;

calm as the sky, almost unremembered

except unlike the blanketing blue, my feet

are burrowed here with an ache in my chest:

a longing to shimmer & bloom /

a wanting to step out into the world,

undiminished & fulfilling: collate new memories,

& fade into the moving wind
