I was raped.
those words never held meaning to me till I took a look in the mirror. using them as a reminder of my self worth.
to rape a child is to leave your mark on a child. they will ignore it.
their minds filing the experience for safe keeping
until one day they remember and the anguish floods back anew.
you leave the child questioning who they are, who they were, and who they will end up being.
they hate who they are

and detest who they will end up being.
