Drowning In The Flame

My spirit is weary, tired of days

Totally spent regardless of the unstoppable speedy time

Still I must drill through wall after wall

Motion through the days, to seek another day

Will there be another day? I stay musing

Indeed exiled I still sing and chant for my redeeming miracle,

Wade in the water, God’s gonna trouble the water

Bemused and lost deep in the desperate blue and red flames

In which I see envision greener frontiers, my other self set ablaze

Flaming with clarity of crystal

Calling out to the dead lands and muted streets

I feel the jailed astonishment of every butterfly that falters

While captive in the spider’s web, in a fluttering of dying wings

Innocence and ignorance alike

The fire will lead me home

A voice is steady calling…
